안녕하세요. 빅히트 뮤직입니다. 당사는 방탄소년단에 대한 명예훼손, 모욕, 성희롱, 허위사실 유포, 악의적 비방 등 악성 게시물 작성자를 상대로 정기적인 법적 대응을 하고 있습니다. 관련해 주요 진행 상황을 안내드립니다. 당사는 이번 분기에도 팬 여러분의 제보와 자체 모니터링을 통해 수집한 모욕, 명예훼손을 비롯해 아티스트 권익을 침해하는 행위에 대한 증거자료를 수집해 수사기관에 다수의 고소장을 제출했습니다. 지난 공지에서 스토킹처벌법 혐의로 고소했음을 안내드린 사생에 대해서는 검찰 수사 결과 형사처벌이 내려졌습니다. 당사는 아티스트의 안전과 사생활을 위협하는 사생 행위의 심각성을 고려해 더욱 엄중한 처벌을 촉구하는 차원에서 탄원서도 제출했습니다. 또한 수차례 아티스트 자택을 찾아온 사생에 대해서는 언론에 보도된 것처럼 스토킹처벌법 위반·주거침입 등 혐의로 경찰에 신고 조치 후 수사가 진행 중입니다. 방탄소년단 멤버 사칭, 미공개 음원 유출 행위자에 대해서는 기존 범죄사실 외에도 아티스트를 사칭한 추가 범죄사실을 확보했습니다. 이에 사칭범에 대한 추가 형사 고소를 진행하여 구속 기소되었으며, 재판부의 선고를 앞두고 있습니다. 악의적 의도가 다분한 아티스트 루머에 대해서도 허위사실 유포와 명예훼손에 해당하는 다수 악성 게시물을 취합해 고소장에 포함했습니다. 아티스트 평판을 저해하는 악의적인 루머에 대해서는 무관용의 원칙으로 민형사상 법적 조치를 취하고 있습니다. 네이트판, 네이버에서 수십 건 이상의 허위사실 및 죄질이 불량한 모욕성 악플을 반복 적시한 고소 대상자는 장기간의 경찰 조사 끝에 신원이 특정되었습니다. 해당 피의자가 합의 요청을 해왔지만, 당사는 처벌을 원한다는 입장을 견지하여 끝까지 법적 책임을 물을 것임을 명확히 했습니다. 방탄소년단에 대한 악성 게시물의 수집과 신고, 법적 대응은 지속적으로 이뤄지고 있습니다. 멤버 전원의 병역 의무 이행 기간에도 법적 대응은 공백 없이 지속할 예정입니다. 혐의자들에 대해서는 어떠한 합의나 선처 없이 강경하고 엄중하게 조치하겠습니다. 앞으로도 빅히트 뮤직 법적 대응 계정(protect@bighitmusic.co.kr)을 통한 적극적인 제보 부탁드립니다. 방탄소년단을 향한 팬 여러분의 애정과 헌신에 늘 감사드립니다. 빅히트 뮤직은 아티스트의 권익 보호를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠습니다. 감사합니다. ㅡ Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Our company regularly initiates legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious activities related to BTS, including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, the spread of groundless information, and ill-intentioned criticism. We would like to provide an update on these activities. During this quarter, we filed multiple criminal complaints with law enforcement agencies based on evidence related to acts infringing on the rights of the artists, including defamation, submitted by our fans as well as collected through our own monitoring. The individual we filed criminal complaints against for violating the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking mentioned in our previous notice has been subjected to criminal penalties following the prosecution’s investigation. In consideration of the seriousness of behaviors that threaten the safety and privacy of the artists, we have submitted petitions urging more stringent penalties. The individual who repeatedly visited artists’ residence was reported to the police for allegations of violation of the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking and trespassing, and an investigation is underway, as reported in the media. As for the individual who previously impersonated a BTS member and leaked unreleased music, we have obtained evidence of additional crimes of artist impersonation. Additional criminal charges have been filed against the impersonator, leading to arrest and indictment. The trial is pending, awaiting the court’s verdict. Regarding the malicious rumors with evident malicious intent towards the artists, we have compiled numerous malicious postings that involve the dissemination of false information and defamation and included them in the complaint. We are applying a zero-tolerance policy as we take legal action in civil and criminal proceedings against malicious rumors that undermine our artists’ reputations. After a lengthy police investigation, the identity of an individual who repeatedly posted false information and malicious defamatory comments on NatePann and Naver, totaling dozens of cases, has been ascertained. Although the suspect in question has proposed a settlement, we clearly made our stance to pursue legal accountability to the fullest extent without settling. BIGHIT MUSIC regularly collects information on malicious postings regarding BTS, reports them to the authorities, and takes legal actions. We will continue taking legal action without interruption, even while all members are fulfilling their military service. We will continue to adhere to strict measures and our policy of no settlement and no leniency to hold suspects accountable.
