[NOTICE] Update Notice on Legal Proceedings Against Violation of Artist Rights (June. 30.)

Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are always grateful for your passionate support for BTS. To protect the rights of our artists and ensure that they can engage in their activities safely, we regularly initiate legal proceedings against perpetrators of illegal online activities targeting BTS, including ill-intentioned criticisms, dissemination of false information, sexual harassment, and personal attacks. This quarter, we have continued to collect evidence of malicious posts across various domestic and global platforms based on valuable fan reports. Such platforms include domestic Internet communities (NAVER, Daum, Nate, TheQoo, multiple “galleries” within DC Inside including the BTS Gallery and Male Celebrities Gallery, Instiz, Ilgan Best, FMKorea, Women’s Generation, Jjukbbang Cafe, SoulDresser, etc.), music sites (Melon, Bugs Music, Genie Music, etc.), and international social media channels (such as X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). Based on this evidence, we have initiated legal action against the authors of malicious posts identified within such communities. Meanwhile, regarding the complaints filed in the third quarter of 2024, the penalties are being sequentially determined, including the confirmation of fines. We will continue to respond with a sense of responsibility to ensure that our other complaints also yield positive results. In addition, a police investigation is underway regarding the recent incident of an attempted break-in at a BTS member’s home. We are actively cooperating with the police by collecting and submitting evidence based on CCTV footage and other sources in order to ensure that the intruder receives appropriate criminal punishment. In addition to this, in cases where BTS members are subject to stalking, we immediately file police reports to ensure that the perpetrators can be arrested in the act, and we also file applications for restraining orders. We will continue to take a firm stance against any actions that threaten the safety of our artists, with no leniency extended to the offenders. As the members of BTS have recently returned to their fans after fulfilling their military service, we are responding more rigorously to ensure that they are not harmed by malicious rumors or insulting remarks. The dissemination of baseless rumors, defamation of character, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy are all clear violations of the law. We will respond to these offenses without any compromise, and reports from fans will be a great help during this process. If you encounter malicious posts targeting BTS or any cases that you suspect may violate their rights, such as IP infringement, please report them through the “HYBE Artist Rights Violation Report Website (protect.hybecorp.com).” To ensure that fan reports are effectively used in legal actions, we recommend submitting full-screen screenshots from a PC or full-page print files (PDF) rather than mobile screenshots. Additionally, please ensure that the URL, username, content of the post, and date of the screenshot are clearly visible in your submission, as such information is critical for legal proceedings. We are always grateful for the interest and support shown by the fans of BTS. BIGHIT MUSIC will continue to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected. Thank you. BIGHIT MUSIC
