We would like to inform you of amendments made to the Paid Services Terms and Conditions for customers who are using our service in Japan, in accordance with Japanese law. - Amendments have been made for articles related to the Payment Services Act of Japan (applicable to English and Japanese versions of the terms and conditions only) 1. Overview of Amendments - The refund policy has been updated in accordance with the regulations of the Payment Services Act of Japan 2. Effective Date - The amended terms and conditions will be effective starting on Tue. February 27, 2024. 3. Amendment Details Previous: If the Member is using the Company’s platform in Japan, the clause below will be applied additionally. The Member may get a refund within 7 days after the purchase date. However, the case only applies when the total refund payment for the reference period including the base date stipulated in the Payment Services Act of Japan does not exceed 20% of the issued amount of the Prepaid Payment Instruments during the reference period before the base date. Otherwise, refunds may not be possible. Amended: If the Member is using the Company’s platform in Japan, the clause below shall apply additionally. Under the Payment Services Act of Japan (the "Payment Services Act"), Jelly purchased by the Member shall be deemed non-refundable. However, if the Company terminates Jelly service and renders Jelly unusable, then the Member may request the Company to refund the Member's paid portion of the Jelly that remains valid. In such cases, the refund amount for the paid Jelly that remains valid at the time of refund will be calculated in Japanese Yen based on the price paid for each of such Jelly at the time of purchase. The Member may be responsible for any currency exchange fees and remittance fees associated with the refund, depending on the circumstances (free Jelly is not eligible for any refund).
