Hello from Weverse. We’re excited to announce a new benefit for Digital Membership subscribers: hosting the 'Listening Party’ feature is now available. Starting March 27, if you are subscribed to a Digital Membership or newly subscribe, you can host your own Listening Party. Host a party and enjoy your favorite artists' music with other Weverse users. What is a Listening Party? A Listening Party is a service where official accounts, artists, and fans can host parties to listen to music together and interact in real-time. There are two types of Listening Parties: ‘Official Parties’ hosted by official accounts or artists, and ‘Fan Parties’ hosted by Weverse users. While all Weverse users can join Listening Parties, only Digital Membership subscribers can host Fan Parties. How to Join a Listening Party 1. Select the Listening Party you want to join. You can find Listening Parties under the ‘Highlight’ tab and the ‘Party’ tab in each community. Any ongoing parties can be accessed via the ‘On Party’ tab, and past parties can be found under the ‘Party Replay’ tab. To see a list of Listening Parties hosted by a specific artist or user, visit their profile and select the ‘Party’ tab. You can also view ongoing Listening Parties from the ‘On LIVE’ section on the Weverse Global Home. 2. Connect with a music streaming service. To play music during a Listening Party, you must link your Weverse account to the music streaming service you currently have a subscription. ※ For Android You must have the Spotify app installed and have a subscription. If the Spotify app closes during the Listening Party, you’ll need to reconnect. ※ For iOS For Spotify, installing the app is not necessary, but you must have a subscription. How to Host a Fan Party 1. Go to the artist’s community and click the + button at the bottom right, then select Listening Party. ※ If you cannot find the ‘Listening Party’ menu, please update your Weverse app. 2. Enter the title and description of your Listening Party. ※ If you are not subscribed to Digital Membership, the subscription page will be displayed. 3. Click the + button next to the Listening Party playlist to select your music streaming service. Log in to your selected service and link the account to Weverse. ※ For Android You must have the Spotify app installed and have a subscription. If the Spotify app closes during the Listening Party, you’ll need to reconnect. ※ For iOS For Spotify, installing the app is not necessary, but you must have a subscription. 4. Once you add tracks to your playlist, click ‘Complete’ to return to the Listening Party setup screen. You can also edit the playlist during the Listening Party. 5. After clicking ‘Apply,’ select ‘OK’ in the pop-up to switch to standby mode. ※ Only the host can access the Listening Party in Waiting Mode. ※ Streaming is available in Waiting Mode, but streaming counts will not be counted. 6. Click ‘Start’ to begin the Listening Party. ※ Once the party starts, you cannot switch back to standby mode. Please Note ✅ When your artist hosts their first Listening Party, a push notification will be sent. You can change the push notification settings. ✅ A Listening Party can run for up to 24 hours. ✅ Listening Parties can only be hosted within communities that have Digital Membership subscription available. ✅ Users who haven’t completed SMS authentication on Weverse must do so the first time they host a party. ✅ You cannot host two Listening Parties simultaneously with the same account. (Only one device connection is allowed at a time.) ✅ Watching LIVE broadcasts and videos is restricted while hosting a Listening Party. ✅ Closing the app or locking your device screen may cause the party to end automatically. ✅ If you violate any of the Weverse service operation policies or relevant guidelines, your party may be terminated or restricted without prior notice.
